SUPER STAR! As the Associate Vice President/Assistant Chief Information Officer (ACIO), you will be responsible for providing redundancy, backup, and support to the VP/Chief Technology Officer. The AVP/ACIO, under supervision of the VP/CTO, is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, and controlling all activities of the Information Systems Department to ensure the effective, efficient, and secure operation of all computer systems. The AVP/ACIO also facilitates and standardizes the clinical use of information technology (IT) throughout the organization and serves as the bridge between the clinical staff, IT department, and management. The AVP/ACIO assists in meeting the business needs for better information by developing and validating reports requested by administrative, clinical, and other staff throughout the organization.
ACIO reports to the VP/CTO and serves as an advisor to the VP/Chief Medical Officer, VP/Chief Operations Officer, VP/Chief Population Health Officer, and others as it relates to setup, use, maintenance of, and documentation in computer systems and the Electronic Health Record (EHR). This position will serve as backup for the VP/CTO position and will assist in the Information Technology, Informatics, and Business Analysis Departments.
Duties And Responsibilities- Provide organization employees with top quality, consistently available support for computer systems and hardware, and for the electronic health record/practice management systems.
- Procure, install and maintain all computer hardware and software and all other products and supplies necessary to keep computer systems operational, and fulfill management's requests for computer support.
- Provide leadership and guidance for the planning & design, configuration & implementation, workflow & training, technical & process support, and ongoing quality reviews of the EHR and supporting applications.
- Study the design and integration of IT systems and infrastructure in a clinical setting, make recommendations on improving the organizational system, and advise committees on the subject of health informatics and clinical workflow.
- Serve as a liaison among clinical areas, technical departments, and management.
- Create, maintain and enforce written policies and procedures governing computer operations and security in the Information Technology Department.
- Develop and perform regular audits to ensure information systems and electronic health records are secured and accessed only by authorized users.
- Evaluate new equipment, software, and processes continuously, and recommend and implement changes as appropriate.
- Provide backup of all computer systems in case of system failure or disaster.
- Configure/maintain the systems necessary for and train users to enter data for proper tracking of Uniform Data System (UDS) data, Meaningful Use data, and other data relevant for internal users and external organizations.
- Support the management team through business intelligence, comprised of data extraction; identification, analysis, and interpretation of trends or patterns in data sets as required; and distribution of reports in an automated, electronic format when possible.
- Develop annual budget in conjunction with Finance Department, and maintain throughout the year.
- Recruit, select, hire, orient, train, coach, counsel, discipline, and evaluate employees in the Information Technology, Informatics, and Business Analysis departments.
- Work and communicate with members of the management team to implement initiatives, troubleshoot and resolve issues, improve processes, and meet organizational goals.
- Work as a liaison between 3rd party technology vendors and the organization to ensure amicable and beneficial partnerships. Manage and maintain vendor contracts and expenses for proper allocation of resources and right-size procurement for the organization.
- Develop risk matrix to assign risk to all IT systems projects and implement.
- Ensure the protection and security of a consumer’s personal, confidential, and identifiable information professionally and responsibly and carry out all measures to prevent unauthorized disclosures, demonstrating and maintaining the standards and requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Participate in the agency’s Quality Improvement Program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Performance StandardsPerformance will be evaluated by the VP/Chief Financial Officer using the standard performance evaluation tools wherein a satisfactory overall rating is considered as a minimum acceptable level of performance.

- Hardware and software computer proficiency, in particular with electronic health records.

- Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical and interpretation skills including financial and operations data.
- Excellent understanding of Cisco Networking environments LAN | WLAN | UCCX.
- Backup, disaster recovery, incident response, and business continuity.
- Hypervisor environments (Hyper-V, VMware, etc.).
- Systems Security and data governance.
Preferred:- General experience working in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with NextGen systems.
- Crowdstrike EDR/MDR solutions.
- Cisco ISE, DNA Center, DUO, and AMP endpoint protection.
- MFA protocols.
- M365 suite and applications.
- CCNA, CCNP or CCNE.
- ITIL framework certification.
- SIEM and systems auditing.
- PAM and IAM implementation experience.
Physical Requirements- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Must be able to meet the attendance requirements of the position.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds unassisted.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
