As Commercial Counsel you’ll be part of a high-performing team and will report to the Head of Legal and have a broad range of corporate transactional activities.
Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate commercial agreements and contracts, including SaaS and software licensing contracts, partnership, reseller contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and vendor contracts;
- Provide expert legal advice and support to sales and other cross-functional teams on legal issues, including problem solving with a focus on providing available options;
- Use standardized contract review and risk-assessment processes, including to document contracts and obligations, and use contract and management tools and software;
- Coordinate with other internal Legal team members on cross-functional issues, including privacy, security, compliance, and product teams, as needed;
- All other responsibilities, duties, functions, projects, and activities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate and relevant license to practice law in your local jurisdiction in good standing;
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial, financial service and corporate law preferably with a fast-growing tech startup or law firm;
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency, collaboratively in a team-focused environment;
- Outstanding negotiation, communication, and leadership skills;
- Familiarity with and ability to handle data protection, cybersecurity and revenue recognition issues in connection with commercial contracts;
- Passion for understanding our customers, products, culture, and business model;
- Excellent business judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly with a variety of teams.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 base salary, plus 10 - 15% bonus.
