We have a full time endocrinologist at our practice located at 12708 East 116th Street in Fishers, Indiana. This is an established practice with a great patient base, so starting a new panel will not be a challenge. Currently, call is 1:4 and will be 1:5 with a new hire. Depending on the dates requested by everyone and personal preference, the call is taken 1-2 weeks at a time. So whoever is on call will take calls for all the other doctors and NP's that come in after hours. Calls tend to come from patients, but on occasion might come from another physician like in the ED if there is a question regarding a clinic patient, sometimes the pharmacy can call.

Responsibilities
- Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
- Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses.
- Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
- Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
- Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Requirements
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
