Warehouse Manager - Construction Industry

Our client, a construction equipment supplier in the Los Angeles area, is looking for a Warehouse Manager. They are known for innovative construction projects and a collaborative culture. The Warehouse Manager leads and oversees all material handling operations, ensuring they align with the company's vision and values.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of management experience, as well as experience with construction tools, equipment, and materials.
Warehouse Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate daily and weekly shipping plans to ensure materials are received on time and meet cost/efficiency expectations.
- Guide continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
- Manage predictive and preventative maintenance plans and ensure the reliability of assets meet or exceed expectations.
- Accountability for warehouse team and their adherence to standards, policies, and regulations.
- Facilitate formal and informal team communication practices for staff and employees (morning safety huddle, maintenance planning, etc.)
- Invest in the advancement of employees and staff by enabling everyone to contribute to the success of the business and ensure proper training of employees.
- Ensure monthly OSHA compliance training happens on schedule.
- Responsible for the layout of the warehouse and yard, keeping all inventory organized and logged.
- Continuously keep on top of construction industry tools and equipment, staying abreast of new technological developments.
Warehouse Manager Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of leadership and management experience in an equipment rental or construction warehouse environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or the equivalent in work experience.
- Experience with developing and implementing process and procedures.
- Skilled in budgeting and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical and mathematical ability.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and demonstrate a strong aptitude for problem solving.
- Ability to facilitate and lead a team and effectively navigate conflict.
- Clean driving record required.

Compensation: $100K - $120K + discretionary bonus
