Overview of Role:
Highly autonomous and experienced clinical operations leader responsible for supporting the Vice President of Clinical Operations in executing on strategy, initiatives, and daily operations with the Clinical Operations Function. The ideal candidate will have strong communications skills, clinical operations experience and a proven success in a business management role.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Support the Vice President of Clinical Operations with strategic business initiatives within the Clinical Operations functions, from ideation through successful execution.
- Plays a crucial role in the organization's success by ensuring that strategic plans are effectively implemented, and goals are achieved.
- Assist and communicate with internal and external stakeholders in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation.
- Improve current processes within the Clinical Operations functions and optimize organizational procedures for efficiency and productivity.
- Assist with onboarding new hires to the Clinical Operations Team, including working with the hiring manager, to ensure each new hire has an onboarding plan and a new hire announcement.
- Oversee daily operations in collaboration with the Vice President of Clinical Operations, and perform administrative tasks such as managing calendars, generating correspondence, planning, building presentations in PowerPoint and coordinating team meetings and events.
- Assist with managing the Clinical Operations annual budget planning and ensuring monthly accruals and spend are within the confines of the budget.
- Establish and manage a consolidated resource plan across initiatives to ensure appropriate and balanced resourcing is in place.
- Design, develop and build clinical operations metrics and dashboards.
- Report on functional metrics as requested.
- Monitor initiative risks and issues.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration or similar field.
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in biotechnology.
- Strong project management skills.
- Knowledge and experience in Oncology.
- Computer software skills including Microsoft Office, proficient in PowerPoint a must.
- Interpersonal skills and comfort with public speaking in front of small groups.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate successfully within own team as well as cross-functionally.
- Proven experience managing complex projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial and business case knowledge.
- Comfort in multitasking and managing fluctuating priorities.
- Strong results-orientation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate high level strategic documents into tangible actions.

The pay range for this role is $190,000-220,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable variable compensation.
