The Senior Director, Engineering Services leads, manages & directs all facilities service operations from a technical, mechanical and systems standpoint as the site-based leader for a UG2 account. This includes providing first-class plant operations, maintenance, janitorial, security, grounds, food & beverage, and office services as the executive program leader for our customer’s facilities which includes thorough assessments of all systems and the creation of preventative and prescriptive maintenance programs.
The Senior Director, Engineering Services will play an active role in supervising the activities of the service delivery team and outside contractors, ensuring that all services are provided efficiently and cost-effectively.
This position will work with the UG2 regional and corporate leadership teams and the new account transition team to ensure seamless transition of account, responsible for achieving the objectives set forth by senior management and ownership regarding the assigned UG2 account including the delivery of contractual service level agreements (SLAs) through published key performance indicators (KPIs).
Basic Functions:
- Oversee a large portfolio of commercial and life science accounts ranging from 250k to 5M in revenue annually.
- Represent UG2 as the technical & executive subject matter expert to the client accounts in the areas of plant operations & maintenance, engineering, MEP, and periodic business reviews.
- Lead a diverse team of managers, supervisors, skilled tradespeople, and laborers.
- Ensure the proper use and operation of computer-based systems including Computerized Maintenance Management programs (CMMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Inventory Control.
- Develop & implement standards and protocols including UG2 technical SOPs as needed.
- Responsible for financial performance of assigned accounts and ensuring timely completion of all service levels.
- Direct weekly team meetings and manage all hospitality function requirements of individual units.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with contract scope on a continuous basis.
- Assist in the bid evaluation and presentation process.
- Manage the transition of large scale newly awarded accounts.
- Develop and review engineering plans or specifications for maintenance, construction, and renovations.
- Ensure facilities under responsibility comply with all Federal, State, and Local Laws.
- Manage Human Resources related matters when necessary and appropriate.
- Ad hoc projects as necessary.
Requirements:
- Technical Knowledge of Facilities Management including strong technical knowledge of high-pressure steam, municipal waste water, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and energy management.
- Ten to fifteen years of Operations Management experience.
- Leadership skills with strong customer service skills managing C-suite clients.
- Financial management skills with a strong P&L understanding.
- Flexibility in schedule and ability to travel locally 35+% of the time (Metropolitan Boston Area).
Education:
- Four-year degree in facilities management, engineering, or business management discipline or relevant work experience is required.
- Consideration for candidates with engineering & facilities management or business certifications will be given.

Pay: From $165,000.00 per year
