Training, Support, and Professional Development: New York Life offers a comprehensive three-year training program, marketing support, as well as prospecting and technical assistance. Our programs give you the ability to work with highly successful, established agents and managers who assist you in developing a clientele. Responsibilities
- Keep bookkeeping systems, sales databases, customer records, and related organizational tools current to accurately report progress to monthly and quarterly sales quotas to stakeholders.
- Implement sales strategies and tactics proven effective in maintaining and growing existing customer portfolios comprised of loyal, long-term clients.
- Spend time listening to new and potential clients, assess their priorities and finances, and determine suitable insurance plan options that successfully meet their individual insurance needs.
- Develop and deliver risk management strategies for each customer based on their risk profile.
- Stay abreast of insurance industry protocols and policy changes to ensure fulfillment of all policy requirements, and monitor insurance claims to ensure mutual satisfaction.
- Help clients reach their financial goals using a hands-on approach to developing customized, long-term strategies that meet their needs.
- Determine financial solutions for clients within a breadth of relevant products and services such as life insurance, fixed and variable annuities, mutual funds, and more.
- Join our intensive, six-month Associate Partner Training Program to further your business acumen and expertise while working toward a management position.
- Complete the program requirements and join the management team as an associate partner.
- Recruit and develop your own team of financial professionals as an Associate Partner.
Qualifications
- Sales experience preferred with a strong desire to succeed.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Desire to help families and businesses to “Be Good at Life.”
- Strong business acumen.
- Perseverance in the face of a challenge.
- Ability to engage your community and leverage personal networks/contacts.
- Must have financial services industry and/or insurance industry experience.
- Cultural markets knowledge preferred but not required.
- Seeking a rewarding and challenging career as a goal-oriented, highly motivated financial professional.
- Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, or another language is a plus.
- Experience working in sales is required.
Compensation
$65,000+ at plan commission + allowances
