We are currently seeking applications for a reliable and motivated Junior or Senior Podiatrist to join our Brightwater at Home Services team, servicing clients around North and South of the river. Casual applicants will be taken into consideration for this employment even though the position is given on a permanent full-time or part-time basis.
Podiatrists work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide quality, appropriate, and relevant podiatry services to meet the needs of Brightwater Care Group's clients. You will be responsible for supporting our clients regarding the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs. This includes treating conditions resulting from bone and joint disorders such as arthritis and soft-tissue and muscular pathologies, as well as neurological and circulatory disease.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be qualified and suitably registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Podiatrist.
- Eligible for membership with the Australian Podiatry Association (active membership preferred).
- Have a strong commitment to providing safe, high-quality care, within the scope of the professional role.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with diverse individuals, clients, community members, colleagues, and supervisors.
- Strong person-centred skills in communicating and engaging with clients with high support needs including cognitive impairment, brain injury, and dementia.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team, organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure, problem solve, and meet deadlines.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Satisfactory National Police Certificate (obtained within the last 12 months).
- Possess a current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
- Evidence of up-to-date flu vaccination.
