They are actively seeking a strategic Project Director to manage multiple projects, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability. This individual will report to the Vice President of Operations and will play a critical role in project execution and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with the company's safety program and regulations.
- Regularly review safety reports with the onsite team and General Superintendent.
- Assist project managers in enforcing safety policies among all personnel and subcontractors.
- Oversee project schedules to ensure all contractual requirements are fulfilled.
- Work alongside the General Superintendent to resolve any scheduling conflicts.
- Deliver updated scheduling summaries to the Vice President of Operations in a timely manner.
- Maintain a close watch on project financials to ensure profitability goals are met.
- Ensure accurate billing, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with project managers to identify cost-saving strategies.
- Provide leadership and direction to project managers in the effective execution of project strategies.
- Offer guidance on critical decision-making to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
- Act as a liaison between the company and clients, reporting regularly on project progress.
- Attend Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings when necessary, ensuring alignment with stakeholders' expectations.
- Build and foster strong, lasting client relationships.
- Develop efficient project plans to optimize cost-effectiveness and resource allocation.
- Oversee the early closeout of projects and ensure a smooth financial wrap-up.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement them across projects.
- Ensure that changes submitted to the owner meet predefined criteria.
- Collaborate with the General Superintendent to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Resolve issues promptly to maintain strong relationships with trade partners.
- Oversee cost control measures and billing accuracy for all projects under your supervision.
- Lead project managers, ensuring they effectively manage their teams and resources.
- Provide feedback to the Vice President of Operations on staffing needs and recommend corrective actions, including hiring and terminations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in project management, preferably within the construction or real estate industry.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple, large-scale projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Proficiency in project management software and financial management tools is required.
