Responsibilities
Waukee Family Medicine is seeking a patient-focused LPN or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare providers with patient care, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. - Room patients and obtain vital signs.
- Assist provider with patient examination, treatment and minor surgical procedures.
- May perform specimen collection, phlebotomy and specimen analysis.
- Medication and/or vaccine administration.
- Care Coordination via medication refills, prior authorizations and referral scheduling.
- Test result management and tracking as determined by provider.
- Return patient calls and inquiries via phone or patient portal.
Qualifications
Aside from building relationships, exceeding patient expectations and having fun while you work, the following apply:
- Current Certification as a Medical Assistant or Current LPN License, State of Iowa.
- High school diploma.
- BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
- Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- A positive and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to assist providers in professional manner.
