Teradata Senior Director of Product Strategy

What You'll Do
- Develop business growth strategy using action-oriented data-driven decision-making processes.
- Identify relevant studies, lead telemetry collection and data analysis to support product requirements.
- Help facilitate strategic plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and activities.
- Architect, design, and oversee the building of relevant dashboards to support business reviews.
- Define, analyze, assess, and perform Total Available Market (TAM) and Serviceable Available Market (SAM) assessments for future business opportunities.
- Monitor progress and report on key success metrics to stakeholders.
- Lead and conduct market research to identify service/product gaps, market trends, and articulate market opportunities.
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to understand customer usage habits and needs.
- Support projected/modeled outcomes with relevant market data.
- Operate independently and as part of a broader team; manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Lead cross-functional teams in product life cycle management.
Who You'll Work With
The Product Management team drives the vision and roadmap for Teradata offerings in public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud), cloud database, and advanced analytic engines. We work cross-functionally across most parts of the business to deliver outcomes that matter to our customers, our company, and our team. We are outcome-driven and seek a passionate, highly motivated, and experienced senior director to lead the Strategy for the team.
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
- 10 years of product management experience in a high-growth industry.
- 5 to 10 years of product development experience.
- Knowledge of Public Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and product best practices.
- Technical or business undergraduate degree, MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated ability to use influencing skills to lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to develop problem statements, analyze scenarios, and develop solutions.
- Solid understanding of financial systems, product profit and loss models, pricing strategies, and revenue recognition practices.
- Good understanding of legal documents and subsequent entitlements.
- Stays abreast of the latest industry trends and can analyze data from market research tools.
- Demonstrated personal and professional values consistent with Teradata’s values.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Good communicator across all levels.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Aha!, and JIRA applications.
- Strong bias for action with a willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Ability to self-manage multiple projects to deliverables.
- Comfortable analyzing data and presenting to executive stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Teradata Vantage product portfolio, especially cloud services.
- Experience formulating and driving business growth initiatives/strategies.
- Experience in delivering B2B enterprise platform-as-a-service offers.
- Experience leading organizational activities.
- Experience with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) methodologies.
- Experience with supporting investor relations for earnings call preparations.
- Previous leadership experience in Engineering and Product Management.
- Understanding of market research methodologies.
- Desire to learn and grow in a technical product management business career.
- Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI / Tableau.
- PowerPoint and Excel Power User.

Pay Rate: 212900.0000 - 276800.0000 - 340700.0000 Annually
Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on geographic location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and candidate experience.
