Job Description
As the Manager of the Model Development Experience team, you will lead a team of expert Software Engineers building and improving the ML-developer-facing aspects of our Machine Learning Development Environment, a comprehensive platform for model training and validation.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for coaching and developing your team, designing and implementing processes to make engineering more efficient, contributing your insights and experience to drive engineering goals, helping ensure predictable progress towards engineering project milestones, communicating with clarity and empathy inside and outside the team, and hiring to grow the team.
- You will cultivate an inclusive, collaborative environment for the team to work and grow together, and help each team member do the very best work of her or his career.
- You will be responsible for making technical decisions by carefully considering the input from various contributors, listening to their diverse perspectives, and synthesizing those inputs into well-thought-out decisions.
Qualifications
- You have managed teams of software or machine learning engineers for a total of at least 3 years.
- You have at least 8 years of experience in software development.
- You have built and released large-scale systems software, especially in data management, distributed systems, or machine learning.
- You have hired and managed the performance of software or machine learning engineers.
- You demonstrated excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex software projects on time.
- Knowledge of or interest in machine learning.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, DeepSpeed).
- Experience working with or managing open-source software.

- Annual Salary: $164,000.00 - $377,000.00.
