ERG is seeking candidates with electro-explosive device (EED)/electrically initiated device (EID) expertise to support a manufacturing area at a federal facility site in Indian Head, Maryland. The qualified individual must be motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a challenging environment.
This position will be full-time at the federal site in Indian Head, MD, and will include interaction and support from ERG personnel at the federal site, as well as from ERG's Chantilly and Arlington offices. Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, 25 miles from Alexandria, VA, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, VA. Flexible work schedules may be considered.
Job Description:- Apply expertise in support of EED/EID process design, development, and end-item production to successfully manufacture products meeting the required quality and performance specifications.
- Perform analyses, calculations, investigations, market research, etc., to obtain the necessary information to be used as process and design inputs.
- Analyze existing or planned equipment and processes for the purposes of optimization, changes, and maintenance.
- Prepare, review, and edit technical documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), equipment and facility drawings, product specifications, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Perform engineering, safety, and quality control analyses.
- Collaborate/communicate effectively with stakeholders internal to and external to the engineering team (e.g., quality testing and manufacturing departments).
Qualifications and Skills:- BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- 10+ years of experience in EED/EID process design, development, and/or manufacturing.
- Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation to engage with personnel and seek out paths toward solutions when original problem statements may seem vague.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), meticulous attention to detail, highly motivated, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with limited oversight.
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations.
