General Purpose and Scope of the Position:
The Senior Risk Manager will support the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) group on all aspects of corporate insurance programs. Responsibilities will include renewal placement and strategy across all programs, compilation and review of underwriting information and coverage placement, contract review, loss forecasting, and analysis to assist in loss mitigation. The Senior Risk Manager will also work with the VP of Enterprise Risk Management in various functions related to the Strategic Enterprise Risk Management framework and governance across all business units.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
- Business degree or related field, including but not limited to Risk Management, and/or 7 to 10 years of experience in commercial insurance (brokerage/risk management/underwriting).
- Minimum of 7+ years of risk management experience in either brokerage, risk management, or underwriting.
- Deep understanding of fundamental insurance terms and ability to apply that knowledge to company exposures.
- Strategic ERM functional experience is a plus.
- CPCU, ARM, and/or Commercial Broker License preferred.

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time, as necessary.
- Works collaboratively with the ERM team in the renewal marketing, strategy, and placement process (Property, Casualty, Marine Cargo, Directors, and Officers liability, and Cyber Risk renewals), including preparation of all necessary applications, submissions, proposals, and presentations.
- Facilitate and strategize with the ERM team on the Strategic Enterprise Risk Management framework and governance process, including the creation of risk mitigation plans.
- Performs risk analysis duties not limited to compilations of underwriting information and coverage placement, loss forecasting, and analysis to promote maximum protection of our assets and assist in loss mitigation.
- Review the accuracy of all policies, certificates of insurance, changes/endorsements, audits, and other documents.
- Works with day-to-day email, phone discussions, mail requests for policies, endorsements, audits, certificates and/or auto ID cards, and accounting/billing in coordination with our brokerage partners.
- Attends any required training sessions and courses to maintain up-to-date skills and licensing requirements.
- Attends and conducts carrier meetings/functions.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality and follows company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Compensation and Benefits:
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $123,300 to $172,790. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for many benefits, such as vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, bonus, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
