RESEARCH TRAINING FELLOWSHIPS FOR CLINICAL PSYCHIATRISTS AND PSYCHOLOGISTS
Stanford University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences anticipates openings for an NIMH-funded postdoctoral fellowship for the 2024-2025 academic year. This fellowship is designed for those who plan to pursue careers in research with a specialization in adult psychiatric disorders. These are two-year positions. Candidates should have a clearly identified area of interest and demonstrated capability in scholarly research. Research activities during the fellowship are intended to focus on the development of independence.
These positions are open to MDs and PhDs. Candidates must identify potential mentors in the application and ideally include a letter from the intended mentoring faculty.
REQUIREMENTS: MD applicants must have completed at least 3 years of an approved psychiatry residency program or have training in behavioral neurology or behavioral pediatrics. PhD applicants must have completed: 1) an APA- or CPA-accredited graduate program; 2) an APA- or CPA-accredited internship; and 3) meet all requirements for their PhD prior to beginning their appointment. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents. Minorities and those with disabilities or disadvantaged backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
The salary is $73,800 plus generous benefits (2024-2025 salary listed), depending on previous training. Start date is anticipated to be 9/5/2025. Application deadline is 1/10/2025.
