Position Summary
The Walmart LocalFinds team is a new venture that builds on Walmart's leading omni-channel platform as we continue our mission to revolutionize the local shopping experience. As the Group Director, you will develop business and product strategies to partner with local retailers in cities across the world, starting with the US, to make their businesses and products discoverable to customers and available for same-day in-store pickup, local delivery and then help scale them nationally and more.
In this role, you will build and scale innovative ways for customers to discover and engage with local sellers seamlessly, boosting product assortment and speed on site, helping local businesses grow, and powering our hyperlocal and the Walmart flywheel. You will play a general management function and have ultimate responsibility for LocalFinds' business success as you create a best-in-class experience for Walmart Customers and Subscribers, Local Sellers, and Delivery Drivers.
Ownership areas include:
- Manage and Grow business: Managing and optimizing the P&L, with ultimate responsibility for top and bottom-line financial performance. Overseeing all aspects of budgetary management, including unit economic optimization, headcount and SG&A spend, and contracts with vendors for professional services.
- Creating business and product strategies: Building a 0 to 1 business and product by crafting the vision for local 3rd party shopping within Walmart. Galvanizing support and enthusiasm from leadership and stakeholders across the broader company to bring this vision to life.
- Growth Mindset: Crafting new business cases and presenting recommendations for category and geographic expansion for executive-level buy-in.
- Build and Develop High Performing Teams: Growing, leading and inspiring a large, multi-functional organization.
- Marketing and Branding: Developing marketing, branding and positioning for raising awareness and consideration for both B2C and B2B marketing.
- Building Experiences that Customers Love: Co-creating the product roadmap with Tech teams to develop beloved customer and seller experiences.
- Relationship Builder: Forging strategic relationships with sellers of all sizes.
- Operator and Continuous Improvement mindset: Leading marketplace management strategy to increase perfect order rates and improve NPS.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, operations or related field and 7 years' experience in operations, project management, or related area.
- 10 years' supervisory experience.
- 10+ years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
- 10+ years' experience building and leading cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering Operations, or related area and 10+ years' experience as a Business GM or Product Manager.
- Project management certification.

Salary Range
The annual salary range for this position is $192,000.00-$384,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
