DutiesThe major duties of the Management and Program Analyst will include, but are not limited to:
- Serving as the Awards Program Specialist.
- Coordinating all of the National Park Service's non-monetary recognition programs.
- Streamlining and formally documenting the processes for tenure-based awards, the Department of the Interior Honor Awards, the Director's Awards, and other similar awards.
- Coordinating with stakeholders across all levels of the Service and also with senior members of the Department of the Interior.
Due to the nature of this position, the incumbent will need to be comfortable with repetitive processes, demonstrate strong attention to detail to avoid errors, be self-motivated, and have the ability to work in a high-volume environment.
RequirementsConditions of Employment- U.S. Citizenship required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSTo qualify for this position at the GS-11 grade level, you must possess one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Experience must include coordinating a programmatic function with stakeholders, documenting processes, and working with spreadsheets for data collection and analysis.
-OR-
EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, if related.
-OR- Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. Total qualification requirements must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.
To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Experience must include coordinating a programmatic function with stakeholders, documenting processes, working with stakeholders to suggest and implement program improvements, and collecting data for performance analysis.
