Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Complex problem solving as it relates to environmental investigations and remediations providing high-quality results and solutions to our clients’ projects and challenges.
- Maintain a high external profile through membership/attendance in industry organizations and continually growing a contact base.
- Maintain high internal profile through CAR project pursuits, wins, and delivery.
- Lead proposal development and contract negotiation to win targeted pursuits, which leverage GHD’s capabilities and value proposition.
- Technical project management and direction while maintaining client satisfaction and ensuring projects are delivered safely and within scope, schedule, and budget.
What you will bring to the team:
- Experience working and mentoring a high-functioning team specializing in the investigation, evaluation and remediation of contaminated sites.
- Solid understanding of U.S. EPA regulations, State environmental regulations for various Midwestern states, and other standards/regulations affecting industry.
- Experience with preparing regulatory work plans and reports for investigation, remediation, and closure; working knowledge of methods and procedures for site characterization, hydrogeologic analysis and remediation of contaminants in soil, soil vapor, indoor air; and groundwater understanding of multimedia remedial technologies for addressing a variety of contaminants.
- Proven experience managing and delivering on multiple projects and deep understanding of industry standards.
- Development of efficient technical and regulatory strategies and solutions that address our clients' specific compliance needs and challenges.
- Ability to oversee and review work carried out by other environmental professionals and provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to travel for short durations which will include overnight travel.
- A commitment to behavior-based safety.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s and/or Advanced degree in Applied Science (Engineering, Geology, or Science).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in contaminated site investigation and remediation.
- Professional Designation/License (Engineer, Geologist, etc.) a plus.
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification.
- Proven project and client management skills.
- Excellent English writing and verbal communication is required to effectively express technical information.
- Valid driver's license.
