Job Summary
The Executive Director of Graduate Business Career Services is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the strategic vision, operational management, and growth of career services across Gatton College’s six master’s programs and four certificate programs. With a focus on preparing over 500 graduate business students for success in a competitive global job market, this position leads the development and delivery of innovative, high-impact career services, professional development courses, and employer engagement strategies.
This role requires a forward-thinking, data-driven leader capable of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve career services, develop new employer relationships, and achieve national recognition for the career outcomes of Gatton’s graduate programs. Additionally, the Executive Director is responsible for overseeing career coaching, teaching a summer professional development course to the Full-Time MBA cohort, and ensuring the timely collection and analysis of employment outcomes data.
The Gatton College of Business and Economics is nearing its 100th anniversary. Over that time, we have been preparing principled leaders for the global economy, producing high quality, influential research, and supporting economic growth in Kentucky and beyond. Accredited by the AACSB, Gatton proudly offers a full range of undergraduate, graduate and professional business and economics degrees and certificates in both a face to face and online format. We are housed in a 220,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility where the college accommodates the fastest growing student enrollment on UK’s campus, reaching over 4,000 students in Fall 2022. Through teaching, research, and outreach, the Gatton College has a direct, tangible influence on the lives of Kentucky’s citizens and people around the world. Preferred Education/Experience
- At least seven years’ experience in career or leadership development consulting or closely related industry experience such as human resources management and talent management consulting is strongly preferred.
- International work experience.
- Demonstrated program development and management experience.
- Knowledge of the use of career assessment models and tools.
- Ability to teach and instruct in the use of programs, services, and resources in a career-related environment.
- Experience with Handshake, Simplicity, or other Customer Service Management applications.
