The Director, Copywriting role is responsible for creating breakthrough creative expression of TIAA across all touch points with a passion for storytelling through writing. The role produces work for both Institutional and Consumer audiences that will be distributed through a range of channels from digital display advertising to brochures and events. The successful candidate will work with key client marketing partners to conceive and develop assets that will resonate with our audiences.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Conceive, develop, and write copy that compels the desired action in our target audiences
Produce well-written content that is SEO friendly and optimized for conversion
Create compelling ad copy, landing pages, social media posts, email, and other content in support of marketing campaigns
Review and edit partner-generated copy
Collaborate with designers and creative teams
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure breakthrough and relevant outcomes
Ensure all project requests are met and effectively prioritized.
Ensure the work is consistent with brand standards and tone of voice
Manage projects through the Workfront project management system

- Ability to dynamically manage multiple projects at once, including frequent unexpected requests, with efficiency, urgency, and patience
- Demonstrated track record of professional copywriting, with samples
- Exceptional writing skills

- Demonstrated understanding of modern, digital campaigns
- Ability to simplify and streamline content
- Experience with WorkFront or other project management system

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
