Position Description
This role will play a key role in determining business, portfolio, and global product strategy, driving NPD and innovation at the sites, leading cross-site coordination, activities & decision-making with key stakeholders, and managing specific business critical projects from concept to completion. The Director of Innovation serves as the subject matter expert bringing deep knowledge associated with the product categories in the PSG portfolio, primarily pumps, flow meters, and flow control. This role works closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other key functions at the global sites. The role will also be to work closely with the PSG Leadership Team to collaborate on potential acquisitions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides thought leadership and solutions to deliver a global winning strategy and portfolio that positions PSG for long-term success.
- Accelerate innovation by leading, defining and delivering the global portfolio including portfolio strategy and portfolio roadmap of new products and services across PSG sites.
- Act as project manager as part of a dynamic team for product related cross-divisional, global and regional key initiatives, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of selected projects.
- Manages programs, requirements, and matters involving patent, product liability, and intellectual property.
- Provides engineering expertise in the areas of product design, tooling, product specifications, product maintenance, raw materials and outside purchases throughout the organization.
- Identify and propose investments in resources, skills, tools, and capabilities to enable innovation and growth.
- Attracts, mentors, coaches and retains strong talent.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Product Management, Engineering, and/or Project management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 7+ years working for a manufacturer of pumps, flow meters, and/or flow controls, with deep subject matter expertise in products and applications.
- Strong Microsoft office skills to express technical and business issues to a wide variety of stakeholders via Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Clear, concise and articulate communication skills - written and verbal, fluent in English. Fluency in additional languages, such as German, French, and/or Mandarin is strongly desired.
- Ability to travel internationally and domestically up to 40% of the time.

Work Arrangement: Onsite
Salary Range: $175,000.00 - $195,000.00
