OVERVIEW
McCain is embarking on a digital transformation. As part of this transformation, we are making significant investments into our data systems, structures, and policies, and building digital products for our customers, key suppliers, and McCain team members to enable digital processes and data-driven automation over time.
Our Technology team’s goal is to inspire growth through innovative technology experiences. Our digital teams are key to delivering this ambition. McCain has established digital teams in Agriculture and Commercial and we are now looking forward to expanding our investments in Manufacturing.

ROLE
The Director of Manufacturing Insights is responsible for delivering growth and cost savings through the application of analytics to manufacturing data, including (but not limited to) time-series process data, overall equipment effectiveness information, and quality results. Value delivery will require the ability to lead a team of internal and external resources that will influence plant operations, devise new control strategies, update existing enterprise tooling (e.g., SAP), and embed real-time optimization engines.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Successfully deliver cost savings and/or increased throughput through the application of manufacturing insights across the McCain plant network of 50+ facilities.
- Develop multi-year roadmaps, including region- or plant-specific business cases that provide a compelling ROI.
- Build a team (internal and external) of capable practitioners that can influence plant operations and business process.
- Manage an extended network of 50+ stakeholders across global, regional, and site teams.
- Create executive-level presentations and materials.
- Mentor junior colleagues in the fundamentals of manufacturing, the application of manufacturing insights, the analysis of OEE, time-series, and quality data, and the development of resulting solutions.
- Support the development of standard data models and approaches.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, with 2+ years in a role with significant leadership or P&L responsibility.
- Ability to manage an external vendor network, including relationship development, conflict resolution, procurement processes, and strategic negotiation.
- Good business acumen, including the ability to develop financial models and drive value to the use of technology and data.
- Demonstrated experience and interest in using innovative technology.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across levels and functions internally and with third parties.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project portfolios over $25 M.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical sciences or related field from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree preferred.
