About the Role
In this exciting new position, you will take charge of supply chain technology and strategic planning, driving optimal value and efficiency across Stanford Medicine’s expansive network, which includes Stanford Healthcare, Stanford Children’s, Stanford Tri-Valley, Stanford Medicine Partners, Packard Children's Healthcare Alliance, and Stanford Blood Center.
The Executive Director of SC Systems and Analytics reports directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer. This position is responsible for establishing, administrating, managing the Supply Chain Systems, data governance/integrity, and Analytics function system-wide to support digitization, intelligence and automation. This position also oversees other key functions such as Demand Planning, Project Management and Process Improvement across Supply Chain working not only across the divisions within Supply Chain but with key stakeholders across the organizations.
Responsibilities

- Develops & executes against a system-wide approach for supply chain integration within inventory management principles that lowers the total cost of distribution and inventory management functions while improving quality, service and transparency with data analytics to stakeholders.
- Direct accountability of system & data maintenance and projects execution including integrations, expansions, optimizations.
- Direct accountability for PAR maintenance analytics and significant inventory/par builds.
- Drives system wide optimization of workflows through the training, use, and implementation of technologies.
- Responsible for budget development and ensuring continual oversight.
- Recruits, selects and retains highly qualified professionals. Provides the leadership necessary to maintain a motivated, productive, and highly skilled team through open communication and collaboration.
- Drive highly visible projects; Work cross-functionally to structure problems, analyze opportunities, and work towards solutions and actionable recommendations and results through a rigorous, data-driven process.
- Leverage Supply Chain technology solutions currently in place to create optimal efficiencies and ensure appropriate information linkages to other systems and brings forward leading edge use cases in advancing Stanford Supply Chain.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or University in Technology or Supply Chain. Master's Degree Preferred.
Experience Qualifications
- 15+ years of relevant experience required.
- 5+ years of experience in a senior-role in Supply Chain Technology and Analytics.
- Experienced in heavy analytics projects and technology design, build to implementations.
- Experience in Workday, Lawson, PeopleSoft, Arc-Helios, or other large Supply Chain EMR’s/Systems.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Provides leadership, strategic direction, oversight and management for an Analytics team in a large and complex Supply Chain function, working at system level.
- Dynamic, adaptable and quick learner with track record of building analytics capability in supply chain.
- Demonstrated ability in building and leading high performing teams and in coaching and developing staff.
- Ability to take Supply Chain vision & strategy and translate this into and deliver against actionable results.
- Strong influencing, collaboration and stakeholder management skills up to and including executive level.
- Ability to drive change and strong change management skills.
- Experience in adopting leading practices and designing and implementing digital supply chain solutions.
- Deep analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills, including executive level.
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Financial & IT systems.
- Ability to work professionally with confidential, proprietary data and information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with individuals at all levels, both internal and external.
- The principles and practices of organization, administration, fiscal, and personnel management.
- The principles, practices, and technologies of Supply Chain, especially as they relate to supply sourcing, strategy, logistics and distribution in a healthcare/hospital environment.
- Skilled in analytics with the ability to determine quality, operational measurements criteria.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices- asset inventory, case carts, credits/debits, returns, consignment management and other materials management principles and practices, including the "Seven Rights of Fulfillment."
- Knowledge of Kanban inventory management system and effective optimization of an asset inventory.
- Knowledge of leadership, managerial and supervisory techniques and principles.
- Knowledge of budgeting methods and systems (i.e. Lawson, PeopleSoft or another SC system).
Licenses and Certifications
- TECHNOLOGY BASED CERTIFICATION or
- SUPPLY CHAIN CERTIFICATION.

- Blood Borne Pathogens: Category III - Tasks that involve NO exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, and Category I tasks that are not a condition of employment.

Salary and Benefits
Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $115.64 - $153.23 per hour. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
