Job Purpose or Objective(s):
Perform general nursing responsibilities in multiple areas, as assigned with guidance, to ensure excellent patient care. You will report to the RN Unit Manager.
Primary Tasks:
- Provide direct patient assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including chest pain and changes in vital signs and results of diagnostic studies.
- Respond quickly to changes in patient's condition or response to treatment.
- Create an individualized plan of care, revise the plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate the overall plan daily for effectiveness.
- Evaluate discharge needs, and coordinate with multi-health care disciplines in planning for care after discharge.
- Assess and reassess pain management techniques used. Educate the patient and family regarding pain management.
- Identify and address psychosocial needs of patient and family.
- Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Current RN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing (or Multi-State Nursing License).
- Current CPR certification required.
- Good customer service skills.
- General computer and office skills.
