Children’s Services Medical Director (CCS Medical Director)
The Children’s Services Medical Director (CCS Medical Director) will oversee the California Children’s Services program that provides case management to critically and/or chronically ill children who are unable to afford the cost of their medical care. This position focuses on case management rather than direct patient care, supporting child health and promoting equity by ensuring families receive affordable, high-quality care.
The CCS Medical Director provides decision-making on medical eligibility for the CCS program, as well as offering medical therapy consultations. The CCS Medical Director provides limited oversight and consultation to the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program and the Healthcare Program for Children in Foster Care.
REQUIRED LICENSE:
Possession of an unrestricted physician and surgeon license to practice medicine in the state of California, issued by the Medical Board of California.
