What You’ll Do:
This is a critical leadership role within the medical organization, working cross-functionally with clinical development, commercial and payer. The Head of Medical Affairs leads the development and execution of the global medical strategy, and Kailera’s scientific engagement with the healthcare community. This organization gathers insights and plays an integral role in evidence generation necessary for successful launch and commercialization.
Responsibilities:
- Build, oversee, and refine the global medical affairs organization
- Develop and execute global medical strategy
- Disease state education
- Engagement with scientific/medical opinion leaders, patient groups, and professional societies
- Congress planning
- Publication strategy
- Global, regional, and local evidence generation and advisory boards
- Communicate product value to patients, physicians, and payers
- Unmet need and value
- Efficacy and safety/ tolerability
- Differentiation
- Lead actionable insight identification and consolidation to inform development and brand strategies
- Coordinate efforts with clinical development, commercial, and payer organizations to ensure successful launch and commercialization
Qualifications:
- MD (preferred), PhD, or PharmD
- At least 15 years of global or regional medical affairs experience with proven track record of developing and executing medical affair strategies
- Experience in obesity and/or metabolic disease strongly preferred
- Prior leadership experience, budgeting and resource management experience required
- Uncompromising ethics, passion for teamwork and people, solution focus, and strong communication skills
- Ability and willingness to fly at necessary altitude to get job done
- A drive for problem solving, continual learning, and attracting, mentoring, and retaining best people
At Kailera, we are committed to fostering an inclusive culture. How we treat our people is reflective of this commitment. We share the pay range for this particular role with the actual base salary depending upon factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, market factors, and experience.
Salary Range: $245,000 - $320,000 USD
