Epimorphy is seeking a visionary Director of Product Management to lead our innovative product development initiatives. In this role, you will leverage Zymo Research's extensive microbiome and longevity/aging IP to create impactful direct-to-consumer (DTC) products. Leveraging your expertise in biochemistry and product development, you will oversee all aspects of the product lifecycle, from ideation to market launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demands. Compensation
The estimated base compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000 per year at the time of posting. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Development: Lead the strategic planning and execution of product development projects, with a focus on a longevity/aging and microbiome portfolio, including anti-aging supplements and an expanded test menu (e.g., nutritional bars).
- Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends and research in microbiome and aging science to identify opportunities for new product development or enhancements to existing products.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Work closely with research and development, marketing, regulatory affairs, and sales teams to ensure product development goals are aligned with business strategies and market needs.
- Project Management: Oversee all stages of product development, from initial concept to market launch, including design, prototype development, clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and manufacturing scale-up.
- Regulatory Compliance: Work closely with our regulation team to ensure all product development activities comply with relevant regulations and quality standards, including FDA guidelines for health and wellness products.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with external partners, including research institutions, clinical experts, and supply chain vendors, to enhance product development efforts.
- Consumer Insights: Leverage consumer insights and feedback to inform product development, ensuring products meet customer needs and preferences.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets for product development projects, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively to achieve project goals.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD or MD in Microbiology, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, preferably in the health, wellness, or biotechnology industry, related in microbiome or longevity products.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing new products to market, from concept to commercialization.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to health and wellness products, including FDA regulations.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a creative approach to overcoming challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to travel to and from company offices or customer/vendor locations (30-40% travel).
