Job Description:
SUMMARY
Provides support for new and ongoing initiatives in the Education Pipeline and Student Development Division of the College including leading project launches, process & project management, and budget management. Directly contributes to the identification of resource opportunities including grant development, progress, compliance, and outcome monitoring. Serves as lead researcher and writer for the Senior Vice President’s Office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides support to both the Senior Vice President and the division regarding new & ongoing initiatives including research, project & process management, budget management, responding to inquiries & requests, progress, compliance, and outcome monitoring.
- Contributes to the development of strategic planning, priorities, policies, and future projects & directions for programming within the EPSD division in collaboration with other Divisions throughout the College.
- Develops & implements plans, policies, and procedures to facilitate, evaluate, and monitor the implementation of divisional programs.
- Serves as lead researcher & writer for the Senior Vice President’s Office to include coordination of publications & award submissions, internal & external presentations, NASPA articles & membership, support for projects & initiatives with national organizations.
- Collaborates with College leadership team members to ensure that divisional programs are in alignment with the Mission and Strategic Goals of the division and the College.
- Collaborates with faculty and other departments in the design and implementation of special projects, programs, and initiatives across the college.
- Contributes and provides support to the strategic planning process for the division and the College.
- Facilitates communication between Tri-C’s Resource Development & Foundation team and divisional staff to coordinate funded services & activities, and information-sharing.
- Works with grant project managers to ensure compliance with the terms & conditions of grant agreements, accuracy & completion of project budgets, and that appropriate reports are submitted to grantees & donors regarding funded projects in accordance with established deadlines.
- Keeps current on knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations concerning programs and services.
- Works collaboratively with the Tri-C Resource Development & Foundation team to orchestrate proposal planning including arranging meetings, drafting preliminary inquiries, developing a timetable for proposal completion, reviewing & critiquing proposals, editing & assuring interdepartmental coordination, preparing grant proposals, and organizing post-award activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
- Master’s degree in education, public administration, business or related field
- Significant related experience may substitute for education
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible project management experience, including grant development, project launches, progress, compliance, and outcome monitoring.
- Demonstrated experience researching and drafting correspondence, articles, reports, and other documents for a variety of internal & external audiences.
- Demonstrated success using information technology to track and deliver associated programs and services.
- Demonstrated experience setting up budgets, allocating funds, and tracking expenses.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with multiple constituents.

Special Note: Target Starting Salary Range: $$85,000 to $90,000
The final offer for the successful candidate is targeted to fall within this range, but will be based upon an assessment of internal equity, the unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications in relation to the minimum and/or preferred job requirement(s).
