St. Michael's is looking for a Psychiatrist to join our team of valued and quality driven providers. Saint Michael's Medical Center provides behavioral health services in two areas: our Behavioral Health Unit and Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment. Responsibilities
- Provision of full range of psychiatric services to assigned patients including assessment, screening, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Prescribe medication and provide medication management services, documenting all in the patient's electronic medical record.
- Analyze and evaluate patient data and test findings to diagnose mental disorders.
- Collaborate with other clinicians to discuss treatment plans and progress.
- Gather and maintain patient information and records from various sources.
- Conduct laboratory or diagnostic tests on patients to provide information on their condition.
- Subject to on-call responsibilities as assigned.
- Comply with employee standards of Center for Family Guidance, PC.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed as a psychiatrist in the state of New Jersey, designated Forensic Evaluator preferred.
- Experience in providing services in inpatient/outpatient environments.
- Experience in providing services in a correctional environment preferred.
- Good interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
- Able to interact with institutional staff, medical staff, and court agencies.
- Must complete a satisfactory background investigation.
