We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to join our team. This position is vital in fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization and will serve as the authority for BEHAVIORAL HEALTH compliance-related matters. The ideal candidate will be crucial in leading our company's strategic initiatives, driving growth, and ensuring operational excellence. The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) will lead the Corporate Compliance Program at The Kairos Group, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in social work, healthcare administration, law, business, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in social work, healthcare administration, law, business, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of compliance/regulatory experience in Behavioral Healthcare, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Must have extensive knowledge of regulations and documentation requirements for services rendered in behavioral healthcare. Must have auditing or investigation experience with Medicaid funded behavioral health programs.
- Ideal candidate will have experience working for a Managed Care Organization (MCO) in Virginia and have a thorough understanding of current Medicaid Behavioral Health and regulatory requirements.
Duties:
- Develop, implement, and revise compliance policies and procedures.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Compliance Program to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including but not limited to DBHDS, Medicaid, and OIG requirements.
- Provide compliance training and orientation for new management and staff.
- Create and maintain educational materials to promote compliance issues and Standards of Conduct awareness.
- Prepare quarterly compliance reports for the Advisory Board of Directors.
- Conduct regular audits and investigations into compliance issues, providing comprehensive reports and corrective action plans as necessary.
- Investigate alleged violations and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with department leaders to address compliance concerns and ensure proper resolution.
- Monitor compliance activities across departments and report trends to senior management.
- Identify compliance vulnerabilities and develop action plans to mitigate risks.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and interpret laws to guide organizational practices.
- Chair the company’s monthly compliance committee meetings, preparing agendas and maintaining documentation.
- Work closely with the COO and CEO to address complex legal compliance matters.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $98,516.00 - $110,000.00 per year
