Retirement Unlimited is seeking an Environmental Services Director to join the team! The comfort and care of our residents is our highest priority.
The Environmental Services Director is responsible for maintaining and repairing physical structures and cleanliness of the building and providing RUI residents and staff a safe, healthy, and pleasing environment in which to live and work. Directs, trains, and supervises all housekeeping and maintenance staff and oversees contractors as applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the constant optimal operation of electrical, plumbing, and A/C-Heating equipment.
- Ensuring the proper functioning of the housekeeping department in the Community, including the apartments, offices, and common areas.
- Managing all community laundry needs for both the residents and other departments.
- Developing and adhering to budgets for the maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry departments.
- Developing and maintaining daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning schedules and overseeing completion of all items on a timely basis.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position, the departments, and the personnel.
- Acting as community liaison with all outside maintenance contractors and overseeing work performed to include safety, regulatory compliance, and final inspection.
- Managing any vehicles used by the Community, including arranging for routine maintenance and repairs, and keeping maintenance records for vehicles; recommending repairs, upgrades, or replacements as necessary.
- Ensuring compliance with the RUI preventative maintenance program for all equipment in the community.
- Overseeing grounds maintenance and managing the waste disposal contracts with outside vendors.
- Investigating mechanical breakdowns and failures of equipment and systems to determine the cause and prevent reoccurrence through a preventive maintenance program.
