Responsibilities
- Work alongside our dental hygienists, multi-specialty Doctors, and administrative staff in composing comprehensive treatment plans.
- Implement and coordinate preventive dental care treatments such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated.
- Perform work that is in compliance with infection and infectious diseases control standards; office policies and procedures; and safety, OSHA, and MSDS guidelines.
- Inspect the patients’ teeth thoroughly using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments to identify any areas of dental diseases and determine the overall state of dental health.
- Issue referrals for the client to dental specialists, such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, and periodontists when appropriate.
- Instruct patients on the use of recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as dentures and retainers, and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene.
Qualifications
- General Practice Residency (GPR).
- NYS resident.
- Advanced knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is helpful.
- Board Certified and/or Board Eligible in General Dentistry.
- A minimum of two years of dentistry experience in clinical or private practice is required.
- Unrestricted and current state license in good standing.
- CPR, BLS, and NPI certifications are required.
Compensation
$240,000 - $260,000 yearly.
