Stytch is the most powerful identity platform built for developers – bringing together authentication, authorization, and fraud into purpose-built APIs that provide the foundations that allow developers to scale rapidly.
This role will be responsible for building awareness of Stytch within the developer community, ensuring that developers have the right content to understand why Stytch and how to integrate Stytch into their application, and bringing key feedback and insights from our community back to our product development.
This includes:
Identifying and engaging with developer communities as both an advocate for Stytch, and as an expert on identity and security more generally.
Writing guides, references, and resources, complete with diagrams and realistic code examples for both backend and frontend personas across a wide range of frameworks and languages.
Building example apps that range from straightforward educational resources to more fun, catchy projects that get developers excited about possible use cases.
Being an advocate for developer experience internally – listening to pain points and frustration in the community (both about Stytch and also our market generally) and advocating for prioritizing work that will build developer love in the communities we engage with.
The ideal candidate has a deep curiosity for learning, views building community as not just an exercise in sharing but also listening and taking action, and loves diving into the weeds on complex technical topics across the stack. If that’s you, we’d love to chat!
What Excites You
Ramping up on a wide range of languages/frameworks and tools – Stytch is stack agnostic, and you are too!
Being a true community member – engaging authentically with developer’s questions and pain points around handling customer identity, not just shilling Stytch.
Figuring out how to both engage and educate the developer community through a mix of docs, example apps, and whatever else you think would be most effective.
Collaborating closely with product, engineering and design on defining and advocating for product changes that can delight developers and ease their pain points.
What Excites Us
2+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer and 2+ years of experience in DevExp or DevRel roles.
Exceptional written and verbal communication of technical concepts for a range of audiences.
Ability to identify trends, distill feedback and think creatively about how to solve developer pain points.
Comfort with ambiguity.
Strong sense of ownership and pride in the work you produce.
