Janssen R&D, LLC is recruiting for an Established Products Oncology and Artificial Intelligence co-op, located in Titusville, NJ. Established Products (EP) is a functional area within the Office of Chief Medical Officer responsible for the late lifecycle management and optimization of a variety of products across diverse therapeutic areas, such as oncology, immunology, and neuroscience. The EP Oncology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) co-op position supports the Oncology Portfolio and Compound Development Teams (CDTs) and is dedicated to maximizing the value of the portfolio through the execution of clinical development programs. In particular, it provides active medical and scientific contributions to cross-functional clinical teams to support successful completion of clinical projects and deliverables that enable worldwide registrations for new indications, enhancements to the label, and compliance with regulatory commitments for products both in the market and in development. The co-op also participates in the EP-AI project with the objective to automate literature search, analysis, and reporting writing by using the latest AI technologies, such as large language models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Clinical Leaders and CDTs in the execution of specific tasks and projects in oncology related to clinical studies and strategic activities conducted for the portfolio.
- Work in concert with the Clinical Leaders on clinical trial concept and protocol development, execute clinical studies for post-approval commitments and new indications.
- Be actively involved in the creation of Clinical Study Reports, publication of clinical research findings, and presentations to relevant Health Authorities, advisory committees, and review meetings.
- Participate in the EP-AI project by evaluating the latest technologies and contributing to the progress of the project.
Qualifications
Qualifications-Education: You are enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science and/or biological sciences related fields.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- You are passionate about science & operational excellence.
- You have the latest knowledge and experience in AI, especially in large language models.
- You have strong problem-solving skills for developing innovative solutions and meeting project objectives.
- You have demonstrated ability in critical thinking and prioritization with respect to project objectives.
- You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency.
- You possess good interpersonal skills and can work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other commonly used software.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated leadership experience is preferred.
- Additional technical proficiencies in SharePoint and other information technology systems are highly desirable, including experience with PubMed, EMBASE, and other literature databases.
- We strongly prefer a minimum G.P.A. of 3.7.
Other:
- Demonstrating strong oral and outstanding written communication skills is a plus.
- Daily commute to the Titusville Campus (New Jersey) is expected.
- Availability to work Full Time and for the total duration of the role (up to 6 months) is preferred.
- Being legally authorized to work in the United States and not requiring sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1-B status) now or in the future is required.
