Overview
Working in collaboration with and reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales, the Vice President of Marketing is responsible for the strategic development, execution, and performance of integrated marketing and communication activities across the organization.
The successful candidate will be accountable for driving revenue by increasing sales through marketing activities, digital, and website performance and thrive in a competitive environment through extensive marketing and leadership experience. You will partner with cross organizational leadership assuring alignment with the strategic direction of the marketing department and the needs of our multiple lines of business as well as establish partnerships with the media and external stakeholders.

Strategy and Execution
- Design, plan, and execute effective marketing campaigns including developing, implementing, and tracking metrics to measure campaign effectiveness.
- Increase brand awareness through development and implementation of cohesive marketing plans.
- Create content strategies based on business objectives, category focus, and audience segments across all channels (online/offline/social).
- Use creative Public Relations (PR) strategies to build relationships with stakeholders and media.
- Conduct market research, monitor industry trends, and implement new strategies based on findings.
- Create and implement quarterly, monthly, and yearly marketing goals.
- Monitor the effectiveness of various marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Drive effective digital and website performance.
- Create new brands as needed by the different business channels.
- Integrate new communities into our marketing structure as we take on new contracts.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and build the company’s marketing and advertising organization to lead the marketing efforts to achieve the company’s branding and financial objectives.
- Coordinate and plan the marketing strategies with the Sales, Operations, and Asset Management teams.
- Ensure that our company brand is maintained across all digital and social media platforms.
- Supervise marketing events and launch and use these opportunities to network with industry professionals.
- Support the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new team members.
- Build a high performing marketing team and ensure effective coordination across cross functional departments within the marketing departments and with other teams and leaders.
- Set daily, weekly, monthly, and annual targets, and implement various incentives to ensure success.
- Collaborate with the National Sales Resource Counselors (NSRC) to assure seamless process of webform fills and performance.
- Monitor quality of digital performance driving volume needed to achieve company budget requirements.
- Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulating authorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed throughout this job description are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, branding, business, PR, or a similar field required.
- An advanced degree in marketing or business (MBA) is preferred.
- 8 - 10 years of well-rounded marketing or business development experience in positions of increasing responsibility- with a focus on marketing expansion.
- 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in building, leading, and managing a high-performing integrated marketing and communications team.
- Proven experience with overseeing a wide variety of digital and traditional marketing and communications channels, platforms, strategies, tactics, and content including email, websites, media relations, social media, advertising, etc.
- Deep understanding of the digital environment and evolving digital tools and platforms used to drive relevance, revenue, impact, and support reach, engagement, and thought leadership.
- Willingness to travel.
