Genesis10 is currently seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in San Francisco, CA and Westlake, TX. This is an 18+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Infrastructure Engineering.
- Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Infrastructure Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
- Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
- Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
- Work with accountable teams to design, build, enhance, and integrate the technology infrastructure required to support various platforms and client's business portfolio with Digital Technology and Innovation (DTI) business partners and will act as a lead sales engineer providing technical expertise and business relationship engagement.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
- 5+ years of technical experience in one or more of the following technologies and related infrastructure enablers.
- 5+ years of experience in most of the following business relationship management capabilities.
- BS/BA degree or higher in information technology or equivalent work experience accepted.
- Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models.
- Public Facing Digital Technologies.
- Innovative technologies including Quantum computing.
- Public and private cloud experience with specific focus on application modernization to take advantage of cloud native capabilities including Kubernetes.
- Cyber Security in Retail and customer facing technologies.
- Operational Monitoring and Automation technologies.
- Financial services operational experience in the business and/or technology in any or all of wholesale, retail, commercial and shared services business lines.
- Deep knowledge of technology infrastructure enablement – in compute, storage, cloud and database.
- Working knowledge of database technology with large data warehouses, data lakes or the business of data management.
- Some experience in learning delivery which includes knowledge transfer, supporting skills development, and changing behaviors using a range of techniques.
- Experience developing, producing, and delivering regular and ad hoc management information to provide insights and aid decision-making.
- Experience in demand management including analyzing and proactively managing business demand for new services or modifications to existing service features or volumes.
- Identification of prospective customers and working with them to identify needs, influence purchase decisions and enhance future business opportunities.
- Experience developing targets for service levels and assessing, monitoring, and managing the delivery of services against the targets.
- Portfolio management developing and applying a management framework to define and deliver a portfolio of programs, projects and/or ongoing services.
- Agile methodology experience.
- Knowledge/Skills/Ability to identify key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution.
- Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skill.
- Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management.
- Ability to oversee initiatives including detailed planning, process management, and documentation.
