Skadden Los Angeles is seeking outstanding senior M&A lateral associate or counsel candidates with 7 or more years of experience working on M&A transactions, joint ventures, and general corporate transactional matters. This unique opportunity allows you to become a senior, core deal team member on some of the highest profile and significant M&A matters in Los Angeles and across the globe. Industries covered by our award-winning M&A practice include entertainment, technology, fashion and apparel, beauty, gaming, retail, fintech and life sciences. Attractive, accelerated advancement opportunities are available to suitable candidates. The starting base salary for this Los Angeles position is expected to be $420,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.

Edwards Lifesciences Corporation: Represented Edwards in the $4.2 billion sale of its critical care product group to Becton, Dickinson and Company.
Dole/Total Produce: Represented Total Produce in its combination with Dole, and concurrent IPO of Dole, creating the world's largest fruits and vegetables company.
United Talent Agency: Represented UTA in its cross-border acquisition of top European soccer agency ROOF.
Reliance Industries Limited: Represented Reliance on its joint venture, valued at $8.5 billion, with The Walt Disney Company and Viacom, which merged their respective digital streaming and television assets in India.
OVO Sound: Represented the music label owned by Drake in the sale of a majority stake in the label's catalog and artist roster to Sony Music.
300 Entertainment, Artist Partner Group, DJ Khalid's We the Best & Alamo Records: Represented these top hip hop-focused independent music labels, among others, in M&A deals with major record labels or other industry players.
Taylor Swift: Represented a private equity firm in acquiring the music catalog of her first six albums in one of the largest music catalog deals in history.
Athletes First: Represented the leading full-service NFL sports agency representing elite players, coaches, personnel and broadcasters, in connection with two private equity firms' acquisition of a majority stake in the agency.
Western Union: Represented two private equity firms in their cross-border acquisition of Western Union's business solutions divisions, creating the largest non-bank payments company in the world.
ABL Space Systems: Represented the emerging space launch company in connection with two substantial investments in the company.
Scopely: Represented this top mobile game company in its acquisition of GSN Games from Sony Pictures Entertainment and other M&A deals, and in its $4.9 billion acquisition by Savvy Gaming Group.
SirDavis Whiskey: Represented Parkwood Ventures in Beyonce's joint venture with Moet Hennessy to launch of the ultra-premium SirDavis Whisky brand.
