Video Advertising is rapidly evolving as customers shift their viewing experiences from traditional linear TV to streaming via connected devices. Prime Video is a rising player in this space. We are looking for passionate, hard-working, and talented product leaders to help foster nascent ideas and products into scalable programs that can live and breathe within Prime Video content experiences. As a Principal Product Manager, you will invent, improve and drive Prime Video Ad products from end to end, in order to surprise and delight both streaming customers and video advertisers alike.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute on the long-term strategy for global ad products in Prime Video.
- Lead or else critically influence planning and execution of all aspects of implementation of your products, including product, engineering, and go-to-market.
- Work across multiple organizations including demand-side and supply-side teams to align on and achieve objectives.
- Build and drive internal and external partnerships with key stakeholders to foster best-in-class product vision.
- Build and scale profitable programs for Prime Video and Amazon Advertising.
A day in the life
Successful candidates will demonstrate product leadership skills by fostering cross-team collaboration with business, technical and design counterparts. You will demonstrate your proficiency in launching complex products and services that satisfy Prime Video customers and drive business success with advertisers. You must be technical with a passion for streaming and digital advertising. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves and get the job done. You leverage mental models and data-driven decision making, and can effectively communicate verbally, and in writing, with leaders of all levels. As a leader on the team, you will take on product management opportunities with autonomy and high visibility. You will deliver recommendations to senior executives and drive alignment across levels, functions, and organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
