Position Summary Information
Under the supervision of the Clinic Operations Director, oversees central supply operations to ensure all clinic and preclinical supply requirements are fulfilled and oversees the procurement, distribution, and inventory management of dental materials and supplies.

Essential Functions
- Manage the distribution of dental materials to clinical and pre-clinical areas; coordinate with department chairs and clinic managers to forecast and meet supply needs; address inquiries and resolve issues related to supply orders and inventory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of dental materials; assist with monitoring and evaluation of vendors to ensure they meet the standards for quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness; implement improvements as necessary.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing dental materials; conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Implement inventory management best practices to minimize waste and ensure optimal stock levels; prepare and present reports on inventory status, procurement activities, and departmental performance.
- Assist Clinic Operations Director in the development and implementation of strategic plans for materials management, securing clinical and simulation supplies at the lowest possible cost.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Work with Sterilization and Dispensary Manager to monitor the condition of dental equipment; identify items in need of repair or maintenance; coordinate with vendors and service providers to arrange equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Supervise and provide leadership to central supply staff; manage, coach, and assign tasks; monitor performance and provide feedback; ensure compliance with university procurement policies and procedures.
- Participate in university committees related to materials management, procurement, and operational efficiency as needed.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols within the central supply area.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Clinic Operations Director.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of:
- Dental terminology
- Dental materials and equipment
- HIPAA regulations and other state required guidelines
- Dental materials and their application in general dentistry
- Infection control protocol and requirements
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with clinical materials and equipment procurement in a high volume dental or medical setting
- Previous experience in a leadership role
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Working Conditions:
- Position is full-time, eight hours per day, five days per week. Occasional weekend work is expected and required.

Experience:
- Previous supervisory experience.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Vocational courses or certificate programs in inventory control/central supply highly desirable.

- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent use of computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
- Requires walking & sitting; occasional standing, reaching, bending and lifting
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials is possible, adherence to safety protocols is essential.
Hiring Range
$74,613.35 - $111,008.18 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
