In this position, you will provide expert knowledge of national safety and health laws, policies, regulations, and standards, operational directives, methodologies, and objective regulations issued by higher authorities.

Major Duties
- Developing, reviewing, approving, and submitting Safety plans (e.g., Strategic Plan, Occupant Emergency Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and Disaster Hazard Assessment Plan) to SHMR National Safety Cadre/Cadre Manager.
- Managing and ensuring the implementation of Safety plans and programs in accordance with all applicable regulations (local, State, and Federal), standards, and guidelines.
- Reviewing the Incident Action Plan (IAP) and recommending adjustments as needed.
- Delivering Safety briefings.
- Ensuring that hazard controls are implemented.
- Establishing and managing the Safety function ensuring that the organizational structure and staffing are Incident Command System (ICS) compliant and meets the staffing requirements outlined by SHMR.
- Establishing work assignments and setting priorities, and following up to ensure regulatory, FEMA, and OHS procedures are met.
