The Cybersecurity Principal Engineer is responsible for leading strategic cybersecurity initiatives, overseeing complex incident responses, and providing subject matter expertise on security architecture and tool integration. This role ensures that security protocols are seamlessly integrated into business operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the architecture, implementation, and optimization of security tools (EDR, SIEM, DLP, IAM).
- Oversee vulnerability management and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead security audits and compliance initiatives with national and international standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Serve as the lead for major incident response efforts.
- Collaborate with leadership to shape the cybersecurity strategy.
- Conduct advanced threat intelligence analysis and remediation planning.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party risk assessments.
- Drive innovation in security processes and technologies.
- Develop training programs and mentor cybersecurity staff.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in cybersecurity and lead adoption of new technologies.

EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant work experience required.
CERTIFICATIONS
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), and/or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) preferred.
LICENSES
Valid Driver’s License required.
