About the Role: We are looking for a Global Marketing Leader for our Electronics Team. In this role, you will champion the go-to-market segment strategy and execution to enable customer engagement, business development, and sales through cross functional teams in the Electronics markets. This role is the key commercial voice and an important member of the Electronics Business Unit leadership team that will be a critical strategic partner to the Business Unit Leader to co-define and drive a winning business strategy.
This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Share accountability for overall business goals and results by partnering and collaborating with other functional leaders.
- Lead regional strategic marketing associates to adapt global strategies and marketing plans to regional needs and requirements.
- Partner cross functionally to build innovation pipeline and business models that maximize growth and value for the business unit; organize and lead market assessments as needed.
- Define market strategy to win based on market opportunities and Gore capabilities, in conjunction with business teams.
- Ensure a robust opportunity funnel by the market development associates to deliver segment sales in the near and long term.
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop and deliver relevant value propositions and exceptional customer experiences.
- Track industry and competitor roadmaps to identify and validate growth opportunities for Gore.
- Lead customer segmentation, by incorporating input from product specialist and functional leaders, to prioritize target customer groups for effective plan execution.
- Monitor competitive activities and contribute to segment competitive intelligence.
- Develop relationships with key customer roles and opinion leaders, as well as deep customer understanding in terms of critical purchasing criteria, stakeholder analysis, value chain analysis, and customer journey mapping through frequent voice-of-customer engagement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of successful strategic marketing experience in leading B2B multinational companies.
- Experience working in electronics or related markets with specialty materials/components.
- Experience driving go-to-market strategy in different business models and channels.
- Experience developing and executing strategic plans as a member of a multidiscipline business leadership team.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching and developing talent.
- Demonstrated financial acumen.
- Track record of effectively working in, and developing, global teams.
- Ability to effectively network and influence with customers, value chain partners and key opinion leaders.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
