DescriptionThe ideal candidate will possess comprehensive technical knowledge across various disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, architectural, landscape, and energy management. Proven leadership experience in Facilities Management is essential, backed by quantifiable results and accomplishments.
Exceptional communication skills and a strong grasp of contract management are crucial. Candidates should demonstrate solid business and financial acumen with a strong understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L).
Customer service excellence, relationship-building abilities, and strong leadership skills focused on staff development and team building are highly valued. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields is preferred, along with Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) certification being a plus.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years of management experience
- 5 years of functional experience
- Minimum 5 years as Director of Facilities in a University or Campus Setting
- Experience managing skilled mechanical trades, grounds, environmental, and custodial services in a union campus environment
