General Summary:
AdventHealth Celebration seeks to hire a Surgical Physician Assistant who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ. The PA under the supervision of the Physician is responsible for:
- Performing physical examinations of patients; evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic urologic conditions in the clinic and hospital setting.
- Treating all ages, male and female.
- Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
- Monitoring the patient’s course of treatment and making appropriate referrals to either a physician or specialist.
- Collaborating with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.
- Displaying a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth.
- Writing and/or dictating progress notes, procedure notes, histories, physical examinations, and transfers/discharge summaries in accordance with medical policies.
- Performing procedures including but not limited to: cystoscopy, catheter placement and removal, first assist in robotic prostatectomies, other urologic surgical cases, UDS, and pelvic ultrasounds.

- Working Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm with potential for call as needed.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, parents, and hospital medical staff.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as evening and weekend on-call/rounding will be required.
- Candidate must be able to successfully pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Required Education/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- The practice is willing to train a new grad.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
- Current, valid Florida PA license.
- Certification by NCCPA.
