RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in Alaska.
- Experience in litigating complex disputes for both plaintiffs and defendants.
- Experience in corporate governance, government contracting, and relevant federal programs (e.g., SBA 8(a) Business Development Program).
- Knowledge of Alaska Native Corporations and tribal governments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
Experience working on matters with a focus on government contracting.
- In-depth knowledge of Alaska Native Corporations, the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act and related legal issues.
BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $165,000 - $250,000, depending on job skills and legal practice experience relevant to the position. The position is also eligible for discretionary merit bonus consideration at the end of each calendar year.
In order to cultivate our collaborative culture and better serve our firm clients, most lawyer positions require in-person work in our offices on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with flexibility on Mondays and Fridays to work offsite.
