We are seeking an experienced RF Electronics Antenna Engineer to join our team at our Cincinnati, Ohio location. RF Electronics Antenna Engineers work on sensor, communications, and electronic warfare programs solving our customer’s most difficult technical challenges. You will design and build low power custom RF electronics across a range of microwave frequency bands as well as the antennas included in such systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and build custom RF and digital electronic hardware, including antennas.
- Research advancements in technology to provide cutting-edge solutions.
- Design and test RF components and circuits including amplifiers, filters, mixers, up/down converters, and modulators/demodulators.
- Analyze and optimize RF system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure program success.
- Provide technical leadership to programs and mentor to other engineers.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and 9 years of related electronics experience OR a Master’s Degree and 7 years of experience OR PhD and 4 years of experience.
- Proficient with simulation tools such as ADS, Spice, HFSS, MATLAB, CST and FEKO.
- Basic knowledge of digital and RF circuit design.
- Established knowledge of electromagnetic simulation and design of dipole, patch, and reflector antennas.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance (NG will sponsor).
- US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
- Experience with schematic and layout tools.
- Design experience in the Space domain.
- Experience designing circuitry for microwave frequencies.
- Understanding of communication principles including modulation types, methods to avoid detection and methods to avoid intercept.
- Ability to design filters and match impedance.

Salary Range: $121,000 - $181,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
