YOUR TEAM
Nuna is building a data platform and UI application to empower value based care payment models which serve to help save the healthcare system from financial ruin. We’re looking for a leader who can guide the team through the evolution of technology and development practices to support our new platform. You’ll oversee skilled engineers and partner with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders to deliver systems that can support extremely nuanced healthcare data and analytics. You will rally the team around the future vision, coordinate the execution toward it, and drive new and improved processes in order to scale the business at Nuna.
YOUR OPPORTUNITIES
- Lead a team of engineers to accelerate the growth of Nuna through the creation of our greenfield next generation data platform tooling and applications
- Partner with product, healthcare experts, analysts, and other engineers to build a high-quality data platform that enables complex healthcare data analytics
- Design and architect a scalable, well-monitored, and performant platform
- Continue to promote growth in operational excellence and maturity
- Own a piece of Nuna’s overall engineering processes and drive excellence across all of engineering
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a people manager
- Strong technical skills with cloud technologies, data pipeline orchestration, data storage and retrieval, API development, and distributed systems
- An understanding of managing systems with complex compliance, privacy, security and performance needs
- Technical leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate engineers and cross functional teams in a startup environment
- Ability to break down problems and generate shared understanding across technical and non-technical audiences
- A passion for working on difficult problems that require meaningful cross-functional collaboration to deliver results
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS, Spark, Airflow, Kotlin, Postgres, and Python
- Experience building 3rd party facing APIs, such as partner integrations or other external APIs
- An understanding and appreciation for the complexity of working with sensitive healthcare data
We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $162,000 to $198,000. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
