Family Medicine - Summerfield has been serving families in the Summerfield and surrounding communities since 1957. We see patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors and provide a wide range of medical services including preventative, acute illness and injury care, chronic disease management and a lab. Services Include:
- Well baby, child and adult physical examinations
- Diagnosis and treatment of acute illness
- Management of chronic conditions
- Minor office surgery (including repair of lacerations, mole and cyst removal and skin biopsies)
- Gynecological exams and treatment
- Treatment of sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions
- Comprehensive pediatric care
- Screenings for cardiac, respiratory, vision and hearing
- Referral to other specialists or to community resources for specialized evaluation or treatment
Job Summary::
Physicians work to care for patients in a variety of ways, from treating chronic illnesses to advising about preventative healthcare. While physician specialties might vary, the commonality across specialties is that physicians primarily work to diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses. They often do this by performing physical exams, taking medical histories, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests, and recommending a plan of treatment.
To qualify, you'll need:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school and successful completion of residency.
- Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License and board certification in primary care or a related field.
- Current BLS, DEA, and DPS registration for prescription writing.
