Job Summary:
The Director of AP Automation is responsible for generating new revenue in an assigned business line through cultivating relationships and demonstrating product and industry knowledge of invoice automation and payment-based solutions. Additionally, the Director will possess a basic understanding of ERP and accounting fundamentals.
Essential Functions: Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for growing new business by demonstrating and selling our invoice automation and electronic payment solutions to large market commercial accounts in AP e-payments using virtual cards, ACH, FX, check (Total AP payments) and AP automation software including ERP, P2P and AP workflow/software solutions and partnerships.
- Development of an assigned territory utilizing existing and newly developed relationships with a combination of prospecting and working closely with Marketing and Business Line Managers to meet revenue expectations.
- Conduct extensive research to understand potential clients' goals, objectives, current processes, and challenges - fully understanding our distinctive difference in the marketplace.
- Exceptional consultative selling skills are essential, with the ability to communicate our end-to-end solution effectively to key decision makers within a prospective organization.
- Manage the process through to the end to close the deal and assist with implementation.
- Explain different processes within the invoice automation and electronic payment space and how our program can provide effective solutions.
- Meet required, set sales/revenues targets, and sell a complete software solution package for AP.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Accurate, professional, and timely communication is required with potential clients and internal groups.
- Must possess a comfort level with and have proven ability to demonstrate software and technology via webinar, phone, and face-to-face.
- Experience selling and conducting demos for financial software strongly preferred.
- Experience selling to large corporate clients at the VP and C-Level.
- Strong prospecting and business development skills with the ability to quickly build a portfolio.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong time management skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively on one’s own to meet and exceed goals.
- Comfort with a combination of cold calling/prospecting along with developing provided leads derived from partnership and Marketing activities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably in Finance or Business, preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience selling ERP, FinTech related products, corporate payments, invoice automation, P2P software solutions, or AP virtual card payment solutions strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with an office position that involves standing, sitting, reaching, manual dexterity to operate office machines, stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, and mobility to complete errands or deliveries.
- May work at computer monitors for prolonged periods with danger of eye strain and muscle pain.
