POSITION SUMMARY
The Embedded Software Co-op will be involved in both software development and software test initiatives. With defined requirements, the candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing software tools such as log analysis tools that will help engineers do their work more efficiently. Typical software development life cycle process will be used, and the output will be properly documented to comply with FDA quality system regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in software algorithm development, embedded software development & implementation
- Design, implement and test software tools
- Assist in software algorithm design and development
- Prepare software design documentation
- Conduct software tests for product design improvements
- Provide input into process development and improvement
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIREMENTS:
- Junior, Senior, or Grad student pursuing a degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering, biomedical engineering
- Strong design, testing and analytical skills required (e.g. engineering and statistical analysis)
- Proficient in C, C++, Python, shell, MATLAB, Simulink
- Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in signal processing a plus
- Self-motivated. Execute tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision
- Applicants must provide proof that they are fully vaccinated with an FDA approved or authorized vaccine for COVID-19 or have a valid medical/religious exemption
